Junior Industrial Designer (UAV & Robotics)

About the internship

We're seeking a strong junior industrial designer (0-2 years exp) to shape the future of autonomous flight at our UAV startup.

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include

1. Design Language & Form: Conceptualize cohesive, aesthetically driven aircraft exteriors, surface modeling, and chassis designs that build brand identity while respecting aerodynamics and ergonomics.

1. DFM & High-Fidelity Modeling: Build production-ready 3D CAD models and renders, iterating for manufacturability (e.g., injection molding, carbon fiber layups).

1. Hardware-Software Synergy: Partner with mechatronics and embedded teams to integrate internals, optimizing for thermal management and sensor field-of-view.

1. Physical Prototyping: Drive rapid prototyping with FDM/SLA 3D printing, foam modeling, and CMF (color, material, finish) studies to test assembly and user interaction.

1. Visual Storytelling: Craft technical docs, exploded views, and 3D animations for investor pitches and launches.
