The platform features AI-curated news summaries with portfolio impact analysis, a multi-asset discovery engine covering Equities, Mutual Funds, Commodities, and Currencies, and a comprehensive portfolio tracking suite for Stocks, Mutual Funds, Fixed Deposits, and ETFs built for both retail and HNI investors.ABOUT THE ROLEWe are looking for an intellectually curious and product-minded Investment Research Analyst to join our Research & Advisory team. This is a Mutual Fund and Investment Products-first role not an equity research position. You will work at the intersection of financial research, advisory thinking, and product development, helping define how Gentle Money surfaces insights, builds recommendation logic, and translates financial planning frameworks into actionable user experiences.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESResearch, evaluate, and track Indian Mutual Funds across categories with deep understanding of fund structures, AMC strategies, portfolio construction, risk-adjusted returns, and scheme-level comparisons.Develop a working understanding of alternative investment products such as REITs and InvITs covering structure, yield mechanics, tax treatment, and suitability for different investor profiles.Design and document rule-based recommendation frameworks translating financial planning and goal-based investing principles into structured logic that the product and tech teams can implement.Analyse portfolio data, identify patterns and trends, and translate findings into actionable insights for the product and advisory teams including fund overlap, concentration risk, and category allocation gaps.Write well-researched, investor-friendly content on mutual funds, financial planning, and investment products; review and quality-check blogs produced by the content team for accuracy and depth.Collaborate with the Marketing and Content teams on financial communication initiatives, and with the Tech team to structure and contextualise financial data for accurate display on the app and website.Partner with the Design team to define information hierarchy and visual presentation of financial insights across the platform.Support the day-to-day functioning of the Research department, including maintaining research databases, tracking market developments, and contributing to internal reports. REQUIREMENTSEducationGraduate DegreeFinance, Economics, or a related field preferredCertificationsCFP / CFA Level 1 or Level 2Preferred, not mandatoryDomain KnowledgeIndian Mutual Funds & Investment ProductsStrong working understanding of Indian Mutual Funds (categories, fund selection, portfolio construction) and investment products such as REITs and InvITs required. Basic understanding of Equities is a plus.NISM CertificationX-A & X-BPreferredExperienceFinance IndustryPrior experience in investment research or fintech preferred WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FORStrong analytical mindset with the ability to work with financial data, derive meaningful insights, and design rule-based recommendation models from first principles.Excellent written communication skills comfortable writing both technical research and reader-friendly content.Grounded in Financial Planning and Goal-Based Investing principles able to think from an investors life-stage, risk profile, and goal horizon rather than purely from a product or market lens.Collaborative by nature, with the ability to work across research, product, tech, and design teams comfortable translating financial logic into product specifications and content.Open-minded and first-principles thinker willing to question default frameworks and design models that are genuinely suited to Indian retail and HNI investor behaviour.Self-driven and comfortable navigating a fast-paced, early-stage fintech environment where roles evolve quickly.
