About the internship

• Site Surveys & Documentation: Assist senior engineers in conducting physical and predictive wireless site surveys using industry-standard tools (e.g., Ekahau).

• Document IDF/MDF rack spaces, cable pathways, and access point placement mock-ups.

• Hardware Preparation & Staging: Participate in the unboxing, asset-tagging, and staging of enterprise networking hardware (such as Meraki, Aruba, or Cambium gear).

• Configuration Support: Under supervision, help configure basic network parameters, including VLAN segmentation, SSIDs, and hospitality captive portals.

• Bill of Quantities (BoQ) Assistance: Help compile inventory lists, technical documentation, and BoQ data sheets required for network upgrade proposals.

• On-Site Deployment & Testing: Travel to hotel properties to assist with the physical installation verification of hardware, signal testing, and conducting passive/active site surveys to ensure uniform wireless coverage.

• Cross-Functional Communication: Act as a clear, professional liaison between the Treya engineering team and hotel on-site staff, ensuring technical updates are communicated clearly without unnecessary jargon.

• Troubleshooting & Support: Monitor network performance during the "go-live" phase of projects, log technical issues, and work alongside senior team members to resolve connectivity anomalies.
