About the Role
[This is a physical product design role. We do not work on digital interfaces, apps, or screens. If your portfolio is primarily UI/UX, this role is not for you.] At NOT Drones creative team, we believe, Drones that fly are common. Drones that feel inevitable that's what we make. We're a consumer drone studio obsessed with form, and we need an Industrial Designer who brings the same obsession. You'll own every design decision from raw concept to production-ready geometry. No hand-holding, no moodboard theatre just sharp ideas, clean surfaces, and the satisfaction of seeing your work take flight. What You Will Do
- Develop original concepts grounded in design references think DJI, Nothing, Dyson,Marshall, Apple, DailyObjects and push beyond them.
- Translate concepts into precise 3D surface models with clear intent not just rough forms.
- Produce orthographic elevations, section views, and annotated surface breakdowns for handoff to the mechanical engineering team.
- Work within real physical constraints (existing frames, PCB envelopes, structural requirements) without losing design integrity.
- Collaborate directly with mechanical designers during NX/SolidWorks parametric conversion your model must be buildable.
- Create high-quality KeyShot renders for internal review and stakeholder presentations.
- Proactively flag when a design direction is weak and propose what better looks like.
You Are a Strong Fit If
- You can look at a 3D model and immediately identify what is wrong with its proportions, surface transitions, or visual language before anyone tells you.
- You have designed physical products (not just screens), and you understand how form follows manufacturing.
- Your portfolio shows finished, detailed work not just AI-generated concepts or mood boards.
- You are fluent in Rhino 3D(or similar) for surface modelling and KeyShot (or similar) for photorealistic rendering.
- You have worked in environments where your geometry fed directly into engineering CAD (SolidWorks / NX).
- You studied product design, industrial design, or a related discipline
- You are self-driven enough to know when a design needs more work, without waiting to be told.
