The team brings extensive experience across sectors such as e-commerce, life sciences, FMCG, manufacturing, pharma, apparel, software exports, edu-tech, fin-tech, agri-tech, gaming, and entertainment. Konsult focuses on optimizing tax costs through advance planning, structuring, and industry-specific best practices. The firm supports businesses from inception to implementation, including start-up advisory, export and import incentivization, and set-ups under EPCG, SEZ, EOU, and MOOWR. In addition to advisory services, Konsult provides end-to-end compliance, tax automation, and litigation management, making it a one-stop solution for finance and tax functions. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Indirect Tax Intern role based in Bengaluru. The intern will support the indirect tax team in conducting research on GST and other indirect tax regulations, interpreting tax laws, and preparing technical notes or summaries. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting in tax return preparation and filings, working on input tax credit reconciliations, e-invoicing, and e-way bill management, and maintaining accurate documentation for audits and assessments. The role involves supporting consultants in client advisory work, including data analysis, preparing working papers, and drafting reports or presentations. The intern will also help with litigation support activities, such as compiling case records, tracking deadlines, and assisting in preparing submissions for audits, investigations, and appellate proceedings. Qualifications
- Strong foundation in indirect Tax concepts, with an interest in GST and related regulations.
- Ability to assist with Tax Planning and Tax Preparation, including computations, reconciliations, and working papers.
- Basic understanding of Tax Law and regulatory frameworks, with the ability to research and interpret notifications, circulars, and case laws.
- General knowledge of Finance principles, including accounting basics, financial statements, and transaction flows.
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Commerce, Law, Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CA/CS/CMA/LLB students or aspirants are a plus).
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; familiarity with tax or ERP tools is an advantage.
