About the Role
We are a growing startup looking for a resourceful HR & Accounts Executive who canseamlessly handle both people operations and financial management. This is a dual-functionrole built for someone who thrives in a lean team, loves ownership, and isn't afraid to buildprocesses from scratch. You will be the single point of contact for all HR and accounting needs a true generalist who keeps both our people and our books in great shape. HR Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end recruitment: job postings, screening, interviews, and offer letters
- Handle onboarding and offboarding to ensure a smooth employee experience
- Maintain employee records, HR documentation, and HRIS data
- Administer attendance, leave management, and payroll inputs
- Draft and implement HR policies suited to a startup environment
- Act as the first point of contact for employee queries and grievances
- Drive employee engagement, appraisals, and culture-building activities
- Ensure compliance with labour laws and statutory obligations (PF, ESI, Gratuity)
Accounts Responsibilities:
- Handle day-to-day bookkeeping, journal entries, and ledger maintenance
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, vendor payments, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare monthly MIS reports, P&L statements, and cash flow summaries
- Process payroll, reimbursements, and employee expense claims
- Ensure timely filing of GST, TDS, PF, ESI, and other statutory returns
- Coordinate with auditors for internal and statutory audits
- Maintain proper documentation and filing of all financial records
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning as needed
Requirements:Education
- B.Com / M.Com / MBA (HR or Finance) or equivalent; CA Inter is a plus
Experience:
- 25 years in a combined or dual HR + Accounts role, ideally in a startup or SME
- Hands-on experience with Indian statutory compliance GST, TDS, PF, ESI
- Prior experience with recruitment tools (LinkedIn, Naukri, etc.)
