Depending on his/her scope, the incumbent will be in charge of one the domain :
Budget
- Budget Commitment: Demonstrate commitment to achieving project budgets by optimizing resource allocation and adhering to cost-effective engineering practices.
Support operations:
- Lead Complex Projects: Lead the technical execution of engineering projects, particularly those involving Newness levels 2-3 (new designs based on existing knowledge or design based on existing rules).
- Technical Problem Solving: Serve as a referent for critical problem solving within the Discipline, utilizing Valeo standard methodologies like QRQC (Quick Response Quality Control) to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Customer Communication: Effectively communicate complex technical solutions and challenges to internal and external customers, ensuring clarity and understanding.
- Technical Transversal Sharing: Proactively share technical knowledge and best practices across teams and divisions, fostering collaboration and knowledge dissemination.
Competencies:
- Technical Coaching and Mentoring: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Discipline Engineers, fostering their professional development and expertise.
- Design Standards Development: Leverage expertise to build, improve, and validate design standards for Newness levels 2-3, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and Valeo's strategic objectives.
Efficiency:
- Digitalization Roadmap Execution: Actively participate in the execution of the Discipline's Digitalization Roadmap, identifying and implementing opportunities for process improvement and automation.
- Continuous Improvement: Analyze problem-solving outcomes to identify systemic issues and propose improvements to existing processes and methodologies.
