Ember Foundry is a consumer intelligence and strategy consulting firm built for Indian promoters and founders who want to validate their biggest business decisions before they make them. We run consumer and trade research and translate it into a clear point of view, not just a data dump. Our work spans market demand studies, customer insight research, trade and channel studies, new launch feasibility, brand perception studies, market expansion, and organisational risk assessments, helping promoter-led businesses, family enterprises, and operator-led brands across India make high-stakes calls with confidence rather than guesswork.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is primarily a graphic design role, but we want someone who also understands social media: what works, what gets engagement, and how content differs across platforms. You'll design real brand and client-facing assets across digital and print, get exposure to how a research and strategy consulting firm communicates findings to founders and promoters, and build a strong, real-world portfolio. WHAT YOU'LL DO Design & Visual Creation Design creatives for social media (Instagram, LinkedIn, stories, carousels, reels thumbnails, etc.) Assist with visuals for websites, emailers, ads, presentations, and campaigns Support basic print requirements like brochures, posters, and collateral Platform & Format Awareness Understand how different social platforms work and what drives reach, engagement, and saves Create platform-first visuals tailored to format and audience behaviour Adapt designs based on performance data and feedback Branding & Visual Consistency Work within existing brand guidelines to maintain consistency Assist in creating brand assets like icons, layouts, and visual systems Collaboration & Ideation Collaborate with researchers, strategists, writers, and the founder Translate briefs, findings, and concepts into clean, compelling visual outputs Prototyping, Feedback & Trends Create mockups and drafts for internal reviews Incorporate feedback and iterate quickly Stay updated with design trends, social media trends, and digital aesthetics WHAT YOU'LL LEARN How design functions in consumer research and strategy consulting branding How to create performance-driven, social-first visuals How designers collaborate with research, strategy, and founder teams How to convert ideas, findings, and briefs into real-world design outputs WHO YOU ARE A design enthusiast who actively consumes and understands visual content on social media Aware of social media trends, formats, and what makes content perform across platforms Comfortable (or excited to learn) designing for digital-first platforms and print Curious, observant, and eager to learn Someone who experiments and iterates instead of chasing perfection A student, creator, or aspiring designer building a strong portfolio QUALIFICATIONS Graduate / final-year student in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related fields Basic to intermediate proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, or Figma Good sense of typography, layout, colour, and visual hierarchy Good understanding of social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn) and what content performs well on each Portfolio with digital or social-first design work (student projects welcome) Preferred Familiarity with motion graphics, reels, or video tools is a plus Use of AI tools to support design, ideation, editing, or workflow efficiency If you don't meet every requirement but love designing, apply anyway.
