- Position OverviewThe Graduate Engineering Trainee (GET) is an entry-level role designed to develop fresh engineering graduates into competent, well-rounded professionals through a structured training program. The trainee will rotate across core functions, gain hands-on exposure to engineering processes, tools, and shop-floor operations, and build the technical and behavioural foundation required to take on independent engineering responsibilities upon successful completion of the program.
- Key ResponsibilitiesSupport design, development, and review of engineering drawings, components, and assemblies under the guidance of senior engineers.Assist in production planning, process improvement, and day-to-day operational activities on the shop floor.Participate in installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of equipment and machinery.Collect, compile, and analyse technical data; prepare reports, documentation, and presentations.Learn and apply quality standards, safety norms, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).Coordinate with cross-functional teams such as production, quality, maintenance, procurement, and R&D.Identify opportunities for cost reduction, efficiency, and continuous improvement (Kaizen / Lean / 5S).Complete assigned projects, rotations, and learning modules within defined timelines.
- Eligibility & QualificationsB.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant/allied engineering discipline.Year of passing: recent graduate (typically within the last 1 year).Minimum aggregate of 60% or 6.5 CGPA throughout academics (or as per company norms).No active backlogs at the time of joining.
- Skills & Competencies Technical:Sound understanding of core engineering fundamentals and concepts.Working knowledge of CAD tools (AutoCAD / SolidWorks / CATIA) and MS Office.Familiarity with manufacturing processes, materials, and basic GD&T (preferred).Behavioural:Strong analytical, problem-solving, and learning ability.Good communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.Proactive, adaptable, and willing to work across shifts and on the shop floor.High level of ownership, discipline, and commitment to safety.
