Your Role:
The Senior Industrial Technician at the Cherokee site provides critical, hands-on support for electrical, HVAC, and control systems within the GMP Maintenance and Engineering department. Reporting to the Facility Engineering Manager, this role involves maintaining equipment reliability, developing preventative/predicative maintenance plans, and collaborating with engineering to define solutions, optimize performance, commission and document system upgrades. To succeed, the technician must routinely utilize specialized software—including SAP, CMMS, Siemens BMS, and Delta V—while actively participating in team training and knowledge transfer. Ultimately, this position requires a highly collaborative, technically skilled professional with extensive manufacturing experience, strong problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills to support the site's manufacturing, quality, and validation goals.
In this role responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Maintain, troubleshoot, and ensure the performance of site electrical systems, HVAC systems, and automated controls supporting cGMP operations.
Evaluate equipment reliability, create preventative and predictive maintenance plans, and maintain drawings and technical documentation.
Maintain the cGMP qualified state of validated equipment and systems while strictly following Good Documentation Practices and Good Engineering Practices.
Provide hands-on troubleshooting and support for emergency equipment breakdowns as required.
Oversee the work of contract service providers to ensure full compliance with Safe Work practices and cGMP standards.
Write, review, and assist in developing Facility and Equipment Operating Procedures.

Author documents such as User Requirement, Functional, and Design Specifications for equipment commissioning, qualification, and maintenance.
Commission and troubleshoot complex control systems (including Delta V, Siemens, VFDs.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED.
8+ years electrical, HVAC, instrumentation, and controls experience in Industrial facility
-OR-
Associate’s degree in Industrial Technology, HVACR, or Electrical Automation Technology, or Electrical Systems Design Technology.
3+ years of applicable experience within a pharmaceutical or industrial manufacturing facility.
-AND-
Certification to handle, dispense, and recover ODS refrigerants.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Emerson DeltaV and/or other DCS, Rockwell/Allen-Bradley PLCs, or process automation equipment such as VFDs, instrumentation, and discrete control devices.
Knowledge/understanding of FDA regulations in cGMP manufacturing
Experience with interpreting and updating schematics, P&IDs, instrument loop diagrams, design specification, system requirements, and validation protocols.
Knowledge of applicable NFPA (NEC) and NEMA codes.
Ability to plan and organize daily tasks autonomously.
Strong communication skills, oral and written.
Pay Range for this position - $33/hr-$54/hr
The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors.
