Your role:
The General Manager will act as the entrepreneurial owner of the Optical Technologies business field within the Optronics Business Unit—setting the vision, shaping the growth agenda, and driving end-to-end execution across emerging platforms in AR applications and silicon photonics, while maximizing value from the optical coatings legacy business.
The role carries full P&L ownership and requires a builder mindset: identifying unmet market needs, translating technology into scalable business models, securing lighthouse customers, and positioning the business for leadership in high-growth optical applications. Design and execute go-to-market, pricing, and channel strategies to expand core and new platforms. Drive scale-up by partnering with supply chain for manufacturing readiness and ramp. Build and lead a high-performing, cross-functional team, develop leadership depth, and foster a customer-first, fast-execution culture.
Who you are:
- 10–15+ years in optical technologies or related high-growth tech; proven P&L leadership.
- Track record with lighthouse customers and strategic partnerships; cross-functional leadership.
- Strategic thinking + hands-on execution; leadership and talent development.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional, international environment
- Financial literacy (P&L, budgeting, cost optimization) and KPI-driven management.
- Data-driven decision making; change and risk management; strong negotiation.
