Full Stack Engineer

Emergence is a thematic holding company backed by the Pritzker organization, focused on acquiring and scaling category-defining software businesses. We are looking for a motivated full stack engineer intern who is eager to gain hands-on experience building scalable software products and working alongside experienced engineers.

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include

1. Assist in developing and maintaining backend services using Node.js, TypeScript, and Python.

1. Support the design and implementation of REST APIs and microservices.

1. Work with PostgreSQL databases and help optimize queries.

1. Build and improve frontend components for web applications.

1. Collaborate with engineers to debug and resolve production issues.

1. Participate in code reviews and follow engineering best practices.

1. Contribute to feature development from design to deployment.

1. Assist in creating automation solutions and improving system performance.
