Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include
Supporting core operations within assigned divisions at FSSAI (HQ), Regional Offices, or National Food Laboratories.
Assisting in tasks related to food regulation, food safety administration, compliance, or standards development. Participate in food sampling, testing, and laboratory analysis (for technical/lab profiles).
Supporting handling of food import clearances and licensing processes (for regional office profiles).
Assisting with data management, research, and technical analysis in fields like IT, Quality Assurance, or Legal affairs.
Contributing to policy coordination, training programs, social and behavioral change communication, or public relations.
Performing administrative, procurement, financial, or human resource management tasks as assigned by reporting officers.
Maintaining necessary documentation, drafting technical write-ups, and preparing project presentations.
Using personal laptops to execute assigned project work and collaborative tasks.
Submitting a final project report and presentation to divisional heads upon completion of the tenure.

Must belong to an eligible stream: Chemistry, Biochemistry, Food Technology, Nutrition, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Business Administration (MBA/BBA), Commerce, Law (LLB/LLM), Journalism, Mass Comm, Public Policy, or related fields.
For Engineering tracks (Computer Science/IT/Software Engineering), strictly 3rd and 4th-year students only.
Must provide a Letter from the Institute and a No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the time of joining.
Must provide a Character Certificate and proof of educational qualifications upon selection.
Must carry and use their own laptop during the internship period.
Arrangements for local lodging, travel, and boarding must be managed independently by the intern.
