As an independent contributor, you will work on a dedicated basis under the direction of FYNC Consultings leadership and engage with Asia-Pacific clients on a day-to-day basis. Role OverviewWe are looking for a qualified Chartered Accountant or MBA finance with hands-on experience in cloud-based accounting platforms ZOHO Books, Xero, or Odoo to join our team as a Finance & Accounts Specialist. You will be a core member of FYNC Consultings client delivery function, responsible for managing bookkeeping, financial reporting, accounts processing, and supporting the delivery of Fractional CFO engagements for our Singapore and Asia-Pacific client base. This is a high-ownership role. You will work directly with FYNC Consulting's founder, with significant exposure to international clients, Singapore accounting standards, and cross-border financial operations. The ideal candidate is technically strong and intellectually curious someone eager to expand their expertise into Singapore GST, IFRS reporting, and international finance. Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate and up-to-date books of accounts for FYNC Consulting's clients using ZOHO Books as the primary platform Process and reconcile accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions on a timely basis Prepare monthly management accounts, cash flow statements, and financial summaries for client review Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis under the direction of FYNC Consulting's CFO advisory team Assist in the preparation and review of financial models and scenario analyses for client engagements Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, with a focus on IFRS-based financial reporting Support Singapore GST compliance processes for clients, including transaction classification, GST filing preparation, and reconciliation (training will be provided on Singapore-specific requirements) Liaise with clients to gather financial data, clarify transactions, and resolve bookkeeping queries professionally and in a timely manner Maintain organised and audit-ready financial records and supporting documentation for all client accounts Contribute to the development and documentation of internal accounting processes, templates, and SOPs Participate in onboarding new clients onto ZOHO Books and other accounting platforms (Xero, Odoo) as required Qualifications and Experience Essential Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) or equivalent recognised body is mandatory Hands-on experience with at least one cloud accounting platform ZOHO Books, Xero, or Odoo is mandatory; candidates must demonstrate practical platform proficiency. ZOHO Books Certification is strongly preferred; candidates without it must be willing to complete certification within 30 days of joining (ZOHO certification is free) Solid working knowledge of IFRS ability to apply IFRS principles to client financial statements and reporting Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience in accounting, finance, or audit Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial data handling Excellent written and spoken English you will communicate directly with Singapore-based and international clients Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously Preferred (Advantageous) Multi-platform proficiency experience using more than one of ZOHO Books, Xero, or Odoo for bookkeeping and financial reporting is a strong advantage Odoo Accounting familiarity with Odoo's accounting module is a strong plus Exposure to Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) or Singapore GST prior experience is advantageous; willingness to learn is essential Experience working with international or cross-border clients, particularly across the Asia-Pacific region
