Executive Assistant, AWS Global Communications
Amazon
Since 2006, Amazon Web Services (AWS) has changed the way companies acquire and use technology by providing a highly scalable, secure, cost-effective, and flexible technology platform in the cloud. Our global team manages AWS’s reputation as the world’s leading AI and cloud provider. We use storytelling across all channels to shape perception with community members, customers, C-suite decision-makers, developers, employees, influencers, media, partners, policymakers, recruits, regulators, and startup founders. We support the growth of the business and adoption of AWS technologies by demonstrating how customers and partners are transforming organizations and industries, and through these efforts, we reinforce Amazon’s position as a leader in innovation.
The AWS Global Communications team is seeking a lead Executive Assistant (EA) to provide dedicated, high-level administrative and strategic support to the Director of Global Communications, a direct report to the SVP of Communications and Corporate Responsibility of Amazon. This critical role requires strong organizational skills, excellent judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize competing demands while maintaining a strong bias for action.
You will serve as the gatekeeper between the Director and internal/external stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication. The role involves frequent interaction with business and technology leaders, support teams, and EAs at the highest levels of the company. Given the direct line to senior leaders, this role demands someone who can operate with minimal guidance, anticipate needs, and represent the Director's office with executive presence and precision.
Location: Seattle, WA (United States)
Office Requirement: Five (5) days per week in office.

- Coordinate domestic and international travel, including flights, hotels, ground transportation, and detailed itineraries as appropriate. Manage expense reconciliation and tracking in compliance with Amazon policies.
- Own recurring operational mechanisms (e.g., team meetings, business reviews, org-wide communications) end-to-end; identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements, making smart use of AI tools.
