Job DescriptionWe are seeking a passionate and skilled Drawing Instructor to prepare design aspirants for NID DAT (Prelims/Mains), NIFT CAT, UCEED, and other design entrance exams. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in design, exceptional sketching abilities, and the capacity to mentor students in developing a creative, observational mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Curriculum Delivery:Deliver comprehensive, engaging lectures and hands-on sketching sessions on fundamental and advanced design drawing.
- Entrance-Specific Training:Teach techniques for NID/NIFT exam topics, including:
- Perspective Drawing:One-point, two-point, and three-point perspectives.
- Human Figures:Proportions, gestures, and quick croquis drawing.
- Scene Composition & Storyboarding:Visual storytelling, daily life scenarios, and theme-based sketching.
- Product Design/Sketching:Ideation, 3D visualization, and functional design.
- Rendering:Using pencils, colors, and markers to render textures and materials.
- Mentorship & Critique:Offer constructive, actionable feedback on student portfolios, sketchbooks, and mock tests.
- Assessment & Evaluation:Create exam-oriented test papers, conduct evaluations, and provide detailed progress reports.
- Creativity Workshops:Lead workshops that encourage out-of-the-box thinking, design thinking methodologies, and creative problem-solving.
- Studio Management:Maintain an inspiring studio environment, ensuring students are motivated and have necessary art resources.
Skills & Qualifications
- Education:Bachelors or Masters degree in Design (B.Des/M.Des), Fine Arts (BFA/MFA), or Architecture (B.Arch/M.Arch) from recognized institutions (NIFT/NID preferred).
- Technical Drawing Skills:Proficient in hand-drawing techniques, freehand sketching, perspective, and quick visualization.
- Design Mindset:Strong understanding of design principles (color psychology, composition, light & shadow).
- Communication:Excellent verbal communication skills to explain concepts clearly in a classroom setting.
- Experience:Previous experience teaching in design coaching institutes or mentoring art students is highly preferred.
- Portfolio:A professional portfolio showcasing your own sketches or design work must be submitted.
