This role is part of Alcon's Manufacturing function, a team that designs, produces and delivers innovative eyecare products to more than 140 countries through operational excellence and efficiency.
The Director, Chemical Production Operations, is primarily responsible for leading the department to align with company goals through strategic planning, resource management, and regulatory compliance. You will drive project performance and operational efficiency by fostering cross-functional collaboration and a culture of excellence at our Manufacturing location in John's Creek, GA. Specifics Include:
- Lead the Chemical Production Operations department, developing and implementing strategies for success.
- Oversee the processing of ingredients and pharmaceutical products, including contact lenses, and work with saline solutions and mix compound ingredients for various products.
- Perform general maintenance on equipment and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Make key departmental decisions, manage resources, and approve projects.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain high-quality standards.
- Stay current with industry advances and apply agile problem-solving techniques.
- Participate in team projects to develop process improvement methods and enhance program quality, cost, and scheduling.
- Monitor and verify quality using statistical process or other control procedures.
- Foster a culture of excellence by leading performance management and talent development, driving associate engagement, recognizing achievements, and promoting a strong safety culture.
- Ensure all associates adhere to GxP regulations and maintain accurate documentation.
- Commit to continuous improvement and contribute to organizational compliance.
