Department Description:
The Analytics, Insights & Artificial Intelligence (AI2) team delivers data- and analytics-driven insights that support informed decision-making and strategic planning across the organization. Within AI2, the Canadian Personal Banking (CPB) team provides end-to-end analytics support—including reporting, advanced analytics, and AI solutions—to drive measurable business value.
Role Overview
Data Scientist II, reporting to the Manager, COO BI and AI Enablement, is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering data science solutions that enable data-driven decision-making across the business. This role applies strong technical expertise in Python, SQL, Databricks, cloud-based data platforms, semantic data modeling, and visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau to transform complex data into meaningful insights, scalable reporting assets, and actionable recommendations.
The Data Scientist partners closely with business stakeholders, data engineering teams, and analytics partners to understand business challenges, translate requirements into analytical solutions, and ensure outputs are accurate, reliable, and aligned to strategic priorities.
