As a Data Scientist & Geo-Spatial Intern at MacroCosmos Creations, you will play a vital role in harnessing data and geo-spatial technologies to support our sustainability initiatives. This is a full-time internship position focused on developing analytical models, processing spatial data, and deriving actionable insights to inform environmental and agricultural solutions. You will work closely with our research and development teams to apply your skills in data analysis, visualization, and geospatial analysis to real-world challenges.
Responsibilities
Data Analysis & Modelling: Collect, clean, and analyse large datasets related to environmental, agricultural, or ecological data to generate insights.
Geo-Spatial Data Processing: Work with satellite imagery, GIS data, and spatial datasets to identify patterns, trends, or anomalies relevant to our projects.
Visualization & Reporting: Develop dashboards, maps, and reports to communicate findings effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Tool Development: Support the development of models and algorithms for environmental monitoring, precision agriculture, or resource management.
Research & Innovation: Assist in exploring new data sources, analytical techniques, and geo-spatial tools to enhance project outcomes.
Collaboration: Work alongside scientists, environmentalists, and engineers to translate data insights into practical solutions.
Requirements:
Education: Pursuing or completed a degree in Data Science, Geospatial Data Analysis,Environmental Science, Computer Science, or related fields.
Skills: Proficiency in data analysis tools (Python, R, SQL), GIS software (QGIS, ArcGIS), and visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).
Knowledge: Experience with spatial data processing, remote sensing, and geostatistics is highly desirable.
Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving, statistical analysis, and critical thinking ability.
Communication: Ability to present complex data insights clearly and effectively.
