Creative Writer / Copywriter App & Brand Communication* *Location:* Mumbai (on-site)*Team:* Marketing / Growth*Reports to:* [Head of Marketing / Growth Lead] *About the role* Pinkvilla Buzz is a short-form, non-fiction, creator-led entertainment app built for aGen Z audience that lives and breathes pop culture. We're looking for a sharp, fast,pop-culture-fluent writer who can own the voice of the app across every touchpoint from the push notification that pulls someone back in, to the social post that goesviral, to the press note that lands a headline.You'll be the connective tissue of how Buzz sounds everywhere it speaks.*What you'll do*- Write CLM / lifecycle copy push notifications, in-app messages, email, and SMSacross onboarding, engagement, re-engagement, and win-back journeys, with afocus on driving opens, taps, and retention.- Craft social post copy across Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat, X, and emergingplatforms captions, hooks, threads, and reactive/trend-led content that earnsshares.- Develop media and PR communication press releases, media announcements,launch notes, and partner/brand communication.- Write any other app-facing or brand communication as needed app storedescriptions, feature announcements, community/Circles messaging, microcopy, andcampaign lines.- Adapt a single message across formats and platforms without losing the core ideaor the brand voice.- Collaborate with growth, product, design, and editorial teams to turn briefs into copythat performs and ships on time.- Track what works partner with growth on A/B tests for CLM and social copy, anditerate based on performance data. *What we're looking for*
- 25 years writing copy communication for consumer apps, entertainment, media,or D2C brands (strong portfolios with less experience welcome).- A genuine pulse on Indian and global pop culture, celebrity, entertainment, andinternet trends.- Mastery of short-form writing you can say more in 8 words than most people doin 80.- Range: you can be witty on social, persuasive in a push notification, and credible ina press release.- Understanding of app funnels, retention, and how copy drives behaviour(CLM/CRM tooling experience like MO Engage, CleverTap, or Web Engage is aplus).- Excellent command of English; comfort writing in Hinglish and culturally-coded tonefor Gen Z.- Speed, ownership, and the ability to juggle multiple briefs without dropping quality.
*Nice to have*- Experience writing for OTT, short-form video, or creator-economy platforms.- A track record of copy that went viral or measurably moved a metric.
