The Legal and Compliance Department ensures that Roche operates within the boundaries of laws, regulations, and ethical standards. We protect Roche's interests and reputation by providing creative and business-focused legal advice, drafting and reviewing contracts, managing litigation, and addressing compliance issues.
We also collaborate with other departments to develop and implement policies and procedures that promote ethical business behavior, patient safety, data privacy, and transparency, while maximizing the value of our intellectual property. We play a vital role in maintaining the company's integrity and freedom to operate.
The Opportunity:
As a Contract Analyst reporting into the Legal function, you will play a pivotal role in accelerating Roche's clinical research and product development pipeline across Canada.
Your core responsibilities will include:
- Drafting and negotiating clinical trial agreements (CTAs), confidentiality agreements, and related product development contracts.
- Partnering and collaborating with external stakeholders, including major academic hospitals, clinical research sites, and prominent research universities across Canada.
- Ensuring risk mitigation and compliance by aligning agreement terms with Roche’s internal policies, Canadian healthcare regulations, data privacy laws, and ethical standards.
- Managing the contract lifecycle from initial intake and drafting through redlines, negotiation, approval, and final execution.
