Consulting Engineer | 5+ years, SP (R&S)

As a Consulting Engineer, you will support the design and deployment of robust Service Provider solutions that drive key business outcomes, acting as a trusted technical advisor to customers. This role is exciting because you'll own complex engagements end-to-end, shape architectural direction for major enterprises, and drive innovation by integrating AI and automation into how Cisco delivers services — all while expanding your influence across teams.

Independently execute, deployment, migration, and optimization activities of robust service provider for strategic customers.

Create customer-facing documentation, migration plans, and implementation plans aligned to CX standards; build complex test environments to validate designs.

Minimum Qualifications:

-

Requires BS/BE/BTech degree or equivalent with 4-8 years of experience in a similar job role.

Excellent written and verbal communications skills, ability to communicate technology strategy and architecture approach to engineers, executives, and Cisco customers

Service Provider related certification (CCNA, CCNP) is helpful and you have a drive for continuous learning.

Knowledge of L2 / L3 networking protocols and technologies (IPv4/IPv6, STP/RSTP, EVPN, OSPF, ISIS, BGP, QoS, Multicast).

Knowledge of Unified MPLS Architecture

Knowledge and hands-on experience on NCS540, NCS560. ASR9k NCS55xx and Cisco 8k platforms.

Has knowledge of overlay technologies like MPLS, L2VPN and L3VPN.
