Compliance Officer Job Description: Compliance Officer is responsible for ensuring statutory, regulatory, and corporate compliance across SEDEMACs manufacturing operations. The role will drive compliance governance, monitor legal obligations, coordinate audits and inspections, manage regulatory filings, and work with functional teams, under the guidance of leadership team to ensure adherence to applicable Indian laws and industry standards. Major Responsibilities:
- Monitor, track and ensure closure of statutory and regulatory compliance requirements across facilities.
- Interpret and implement requirements arising from Central, State, and local regulations.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external authorities during audits, inspections and compliance reviews
- Maintain compliance calendars, statutory registers, licenses, permits, and documentation.
- Identify compliance risks, conduct gap assessments, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Prepare compliance status reports and present key risks and action plans to the management.
- Ensure timely filing, renewals and submissions with regulatory bodies.
- Drive awareness and training programs related to legal and statutory compliance.
Technical Skills and Experience:
- Strong hands-on knowledge of Indian manufacturing compliance frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of Factories Act and expertise in Labor Laws including Contract Labor regulations.
- Knowledge of Industrial Relations, shop-floor statutory requirements, and contractor compliance management.
- Proficient in corporate and financial statutory compliances under the Companies Act, MSME regulations, including ROC filings, annual returns, financial statement submissions, board and shareholder governance, audit compliances, and regulatory reporting.
- Understanding of environmental regulations related to air and water pollution, hazardous waste, e-waste management, and occupational health, safety and working conditions.
- Strong documentation, analytical, and risk assessment skills.
