The Commission Team is a global team of highly skilled analysts with extensive knowledge of the end-to-end commission process for assigned sales organizations. This role serves as a key point of contact for questions related to sales commissions, including compensation plans, calculations, and attainment results. The position requires close collaboration with Sales, Finance, and other business stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely commission administration.
Responsibilities
Understand and accurately administer the Autodesk Sales Compensation Plan
Apply company policies and compensation plan rules while escalating exceptional requests for guidance and interpretation when needed
Calculate, validate, and process variable earnings accurately and on time for assigned sales teams based on reporting from Forma Sales Performance Management (SPM)
Support the implementation and rollout of changes to commission systems and processes
Provide monthly attainment analysis and investigate fluctuations in results, proactively raising significant variances with Finance Business Partners (FBPs)
Deliver high-quality and timely responses to sales teams and sales management, addressing reporting and informational needs

Communicate complex commission logic and analyses in a clear and understandable manner using internal resources and frequently asked questions (FAQs)
Participate in the creation and maintenance of crediting rules and Territory Target Sheets (TTS) for assigned sales teams
Ensure Territory Target Sheets (TTS) are accurate and aligned with the Autodesk Sales Compensation Plan
Process manual attainment updates and commission adjustments while communicating timing and impacts appropriately
Understand Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements and maintain documentation that supports compliance and audit readiness
Maintain commission tools and systems, including employee data, compensation plan information, organizational hierarchy updates, and compensation-related changes
Contribute to ongoing process improvement initiatives that enhance the efficiency and accuracy of sales reporting and variable compensation calculations
Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and other Global Commission Operations (GCO) projects
Challenge existing processes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
3 or more years of progressive experience in a mid-to-large public company, preferably with experience supporting sales compensation or commission administration
Advanced Microsoft Excel, Power BI, reporting, and analytical skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
Ability to apply sound judgment consistently and make informed decisions within established guidelines
Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines and escalating issues appropriately
Ability to multitask and deliver accurate results in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and tight deadlines
Strong customer service orientation and commitment to supporting sales teams and management
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated flexibility, adaptability, and willingness to learn
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with commission management platforms such as Varicent, Cognos, Business Objects, or similar tools
Experience supporting global sales organizations and commission programs
Knowledge of sales compensation plan design and administration
Experience participating in process improvement initiatives and operational transformation projects
Familiarity with financial controls, audit requirements, and compliance processes
Experience analysing large datasets and translating findings into actionable insights
