We are looking for a compassionate and responsible Clinical Psychologist Intern to support emotional well-being initiatives for cancer patients and their caregivers. This is a meaningful opportunity to gain real-world exposure in counseling, empathetic communication, and caregiver support.
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include
- Conduct initial interactions with cancer patients and caregivers to deeply understand their emotional and psychological needs.
- Perform basic mental health screenings (under supervision) to identify signs of distress, such as anxiety, grief, or depressive tendencies.
- Assist in implementing practical coping strategies and emotional regulation techniques to help families manage the trauma of diagnosis and treatment.
- Maintain a supportive communication loop through regular follow-ups and outreach, acting as a consistent point of contact for emotional relief.
- Design and develop meaningful mental health resources, articles, and content to raise awareness about Psycho-Oncology.
- Maintain methodical and ethical progress notes, ensuring all interactions are recorded with the highest level of confidentiality.
- Participate in case discussions and team feedback sessions to refine our patient support framework.
