About the job

Key Responsibilities

1. Support the lead teacher through the daily work cycle.

1. Help individual children begin, stay with, and complete their work.

1. Support the day-to-day running of the classroom.

1. Keep the space clean, ordered, and ready each day; repair and prepare materials.

1. Observe children daily and keep notes to share with the lead.

1. Support practical life and grace and courtesy in everyday moments, including meals, transitions, and care of the space.

1. Learn and apply Montessori pedagogy at our learning centre.

Other requirements

1. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English.

1. A background in Psychology is preferred.

1. Artistic talents such as painting, singing, poetry, music, speech & drama, or design are an added advantage.

1. Awareness of alternative learning methods.

1. Prior experience working with children is desirable.

1. Ability to research and design lessons based on children's interests and curiosity.
