This Position reports to:

Regional Tower and Sourcing Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support regional/global sourcing initiatives either under the leadership of a regional/global Category Manager or independently if under a defined threshold. Each day, you will purchase materials according to required technical specifications, price, delivery schedule, and terms. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring the purchase activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures.

This role is contributing to the Motion business based at Bangalore, India:

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Supporting the development and implementation of regional/global sourcing strategies in close alignment with the regional/global category leader.

• Negotiating agreements with main suppliers, and periodically renewing price lists and terms and conditions.

• Running benchmark studies for the Category team and for specific sourcing initiatives.

• Creating local contract amendments to frame agreements on behalf of a country and updates/maintains frame contracts.

- Analysis target region, category Spending by Division and by supplier

- Implement cost reduction plan and category strategy aligned with category manager

- Ensure that the ABB’s sourcing methodology is applied in a meaning full and pragmatic manner
