How you will create an impact
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Claims Manager to lead a team of claims professionals handling a diverse portfolio of claims. This role has a significant focus on property damage exposures arising from Garage operations and General Liability risks, including Garagekeepers claims and subcontractor-related property damage losses. The portfolio consists primarily of moderate-severity claims, generally valued up to $150,000, requiring strong technical expertise in investigation, liability assessment, reserving, negotiation, and resolution.
The Claims Manager is responsible for driving technical excellence, operational performance, and talent development while ensuring superior claim outcomes and exceptional customer service. As a key member of the Claims leadership team, you will provide strategic direction and oversight throughout the claim lifecycle, including coverage evaluation, investigation, reserving, litigation management, negotiation, and resolution. The successful candidate will actively partner with internal and external stakeholders, including underwriting, brokers, insureds, third-party administrators, and business leaders, to ensure consistent execution of claims strategies and alignment with organizational objectives.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong technical expertise, sound judgment, and the ability to influence outcomes while fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and high performance. In addition to leading and developing the team, the Claims Manager will serve as a technical resource for complex property damage matters and provide guidance on coverage, liability, damages assessment, and resolution strategies.
