Key Responsibilities
- Cashier & Billing Duties
Transaction Processing: Accurately operate the Point of Sale (POS) system and process cash, card, UPI, and digital payments. Balance Registers: Count cash drawers at the beginning and end of each shift, ensuring all totals match daily sales reports. Order Accuracy: Double-check itemized receipts and provide correct change and accurate receipts to customers. Counter Upkeep: Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized billing counter with necessary stationary and packaging materials.
- Customer Service & Serving Duties
Guest Greeting: Welcome customers promptly, present menus, and offer recommendations. Order Taking: Take accurate food and beverage orders, communicating any special dietary restrictions to the kitchen/barista team. Food Delivery: Serve food and beverages to tables quickly and ensure customer satisfaction throughout their meal. Upselling: Actively promote new menu items, combo deals, and specials.
- General Operations
Team Coordination: Liaise between kitchen staff, baristas, and customers to ensure a seamless order flow. FOH Cleanliness: Maintain a spotless dining area, quickly clearing tables and resetting them for the next guest. Complaint Handling: Address customer concerns politely, resolving basic issues and escalating complex feedback to the manager. Requirements & Qualifications Experience: 12 years of previous experience as a cashier, server, or in a fast-paced hospitality/QSR environment preferred. Technical Skills: Basic math skills for handling transactions, as well as familiarity with modern digital payment methods and POS systems. Soft Skills: Strong communication, a friendly and positive attitude, and the ability to multitask during rush hours. Flexibility: Willingness to work in rotational shifts, weekends, and holidays. we prefer candidates who are already working in chennai.
