Meet the team
Cisco's Networking (CN) organization is one that builds on the wonderful history of Cisco inventing and leading the global networking industry. The opportunity in front of all of us is unbelievable. Networks around the globe have been growing for over 35 years, and we are still at the beginning! It’s hard to imagine that three billion of the world’s eight billion people are still unconnected or underserved. Soon enough, we will move from billions of connected things and people to trillions of connected things and people. With the rise of the public cloud, connectivity is no longer simply physical access but includes virtual connectivity. And all this connectivity is central to every experience and every economy around the world. Cisco has been synonymous with connectivity for the last 35 years, and we are excited about creating the next era of connectivity with you.
One of the things that stands out to me is the amount of amazing innovation and passion in every single team. We build great products with employees who have a deep passion for winning and want to help our customers solve their greatest connectivity challenges.
Cisco has always had great innovation, but in the past this innovation and our potential have often been hindered by organizational and product silos. By bringing our teams closer, centralizing and synchronizing our operations, we will accelerate innovation to enable our customers to simplify everything! Central Operations is a new business unit within Cisco’s Networking organization who has been tasked to centralizing our practices as a service across. Our mission is to transform Cisco’s operational efficiencies by using real time data and insights and synchronized business processes to drive business decisions and accelerate the delivery of our strategic agendas. This will enable our vision, which is to increase both the human and cost efficiencies within Cisco, that will enable faster execution of our employees as well as free up capital that will allow us to afford resources earlier than would have been expected. The result is increased Operational Leverage generated by increased operating income, profit, and revenues for Cisco. You would be joining the Networking team, and the Central Operations organization to fulfill this mission and vision.
Your Impact
As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of processes surrounding the commitment of funds within Cisco. You’ll need to understand the policies within Cisco which instruct and require certain aspects of the funding request to be fulfilled and execute to those policies. You will also be responsible for entering each funding request, following them through the approval process, and helping to answer any questions or modify the entry as required. This general approach to managing the commitment of funds extends to our cross-charge functions, as well as our accrual processes. With this responsibility, you will be working intimately with our Business Units across CN and with our partner organizations such as Finance, and Procurement – GSM and GPS & Security Compliance orgs. We are looking for an experienced order fulfillment individual to drive more effective funds commitment and management processes within the business. When there is a roadblock working with other partner organizations, it’s your job to assist. We fulfill each above function by working within our own internally developed Business Operations Command Center Toolset while providing our organization the necessary training, documented procedures, operations, and tools to succeed. You would support many of these activities in support of your team.
