The Business Logic Developer II role offers an exciting opportunity to design, develop, and maintain business rules using the Drools DMN (Decision Model and Notation) rules engine. In this role, you will partner closely with technology, product, and operations teams to deliver scalable business rule solutions that power the Intuitive Service Portal (ISP) across global markets. You will play a key role in modernizing business processes, driving automation, and enabling consistent customer and colleague experiences while ensuring compliance with market-specific requirements.
- Design, develop, and maintain business rules and decision logic for the ISP platform using Drools DMN.
- Analyze existing POD rules and processes, identify pain points, and develop flexible, scalable, and maintainable solutions.
- Translate business requirements into technical rule implementations that align with strategic objectives.
- Develop and maintain global business processes and rules, while supporting market-specific customizations as required.
- Collaborate with Technology, Product, and Servicing Operations teams to prioritize, define, and deliver key business capabilities.
- Drive automation of manual processes and strategies through business rules and workflow optimization.
- Partner with central and local market teams to ensure solutions meet business, regulatory, compliance, and risk requirements.
- Continuously improve processes and rule implementations based on stakeholder feedback and evolving business needs.
- Manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Provide regular updates to leadership and key stakeholders on project progress, risks, and dependencies.
- Utilize Rally, Jira, and related tools to manage work, track progress, and support Agile delivery practices.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
- Leverage Git or similar version control tools for source code management and collaboration.
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in Core Java development.
- Experience working with Business Rules Engines (BRE) and Business Process Management (BPM) platforms.
- Strong knowledge of Drools and SQL.
- Proven ability to design and implement scalable solutions from concept through deployment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to understand and simplify complex business challenges.
