About the job
Role Purpose:To deliver engaging and inquiry-based Biology lessons in accordance with IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) and Cambridge IGCSE curriculum requirements, fostering scientific literacy, critical thinking, and research skills among students.Key Responsibilities
- Plan and teach Biology lessons for IBDP (SL/HL) and IGCSE students.
- Develop students' understanding of biological concepts through practical, investigative, and inquiry-based learning.
- Conduct laboratory experiments and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
- Prepare students for internal and external assessments, examinations, and practical evaluations.
- Guide IBDP students in Internal Assessments (IA), Extended Essays (EE), and scientific research projects.
- Assess student progress, maintain records, and provide timely feedback.
- Integrate technology and real-world applications into Biology teaching.
- Participate in curriculum planning, departmental meetings, parent interactions, and school activities.
- Support the IB Learner Profile, international-mindedness, and holistic student development.Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Biology/Life Sciences or a related field.
- B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching IBDP Biology and Cambridge IGCSE Biology preferred.
- Strong laboratory, communication, and classroom management skills.Key Competencies
