Main Purpose of Role To support the finance and accounting functions of Callidus Consulting and its clients operating within the UAE, particularly in theDubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), regulated by the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA). The role includes maintaining accurate books of accounts, assisting in the preparation of regulatory returns and audits, managing tax-related filings, and delivering timely financial insights, under the guidance of senior team members and in line with UAE financial frameworks. Key responsibilitiesMaintain and update books of accounts on a timely basis using accounting software (Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Tally, Xero, etc.)Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial returns under applicable frameworks such as IFRS and DFSAs Prudential (PIB) module for Callidus and its clients.Support in preparing financial reports, management accounts, cash flow summaries, and reconciliations.Prepare and validate VAT return workings for Callidus and UAE-clients and assist in timely submissions to the Federal Tax Authority (FTA).Provide support in annual audits, including coordination with auditors and compilation of necessary data and schedules.Monitor compliance timelines for VAT, and basic UAE corporate tax requirements.Ensure record-keeping and documentation are maintained in accordance with DFSA expectations.Assist in compiling data and reports for capital adequacy, liquidity, and other financial indicators required by clients or regulators.Liaise with internal teams and client representatives as needed to clarify financial matters or support decision-making.Stay updated on international accounting standards and relevant regulatory developments affecting Callidus operations and client services. QualificationsFully qualified Chartered Accountant (CA), ACCA, CPA or equivalent.24 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, or audit.Experience working in consulting, professional services, or client-facing roles is a plus.Familiarity with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax framework is an advantage SkillsStrong working knowledge of accounting software (Zoho, Tally, QuickBooks, Xero).Proficiency in MS Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in English.Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.Ability to manage multiple client assignments, meet deadlines, and work independently.Willingness to learn UAE regulatory frameworks (DFSA, FTA, ESR) through training and on-the-job exposure.
