UPES Dehradun is inviting applications for the position of Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, School of Advanced Engineering.We are looking for passionate academicians committed to excellence in teaching, research, and academic service.Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and laboratory sessions in Civil Engineering courses. Develop and update curriculum aligned with industry requirements and emerging technologies. Conduct high-quality research and publish in reputed SCI/Scopus-indexed journals and conferences. Mentor students and supervise undergraduate, postgraduate, and research projects. Contribute to research proposals, consultancy projects, and interdisciplinary collaborations. Participate actively in curriculum development, accreditation, and departmental activities. Integrate digital technologies and data-driven approaches into teaching and research.Preferred Areas of Expertise Transportation Engineering Highway Engineering Traffic Engineering and Transportation Planning Surveying and Geomatics Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Remote Sensing Applications in Civil EngineeringTechnical and Software Skills Building Information Modelling (BIM) Platforms Python Programming for Engineering Applications Artificial Intelligence (AI) Tools and Applications in Civil Engineering MATLAB for Modelling, Simulation, and Data Analysis GIS and Remote Sensing Software (ArcGIS, QGIS, ERDAS Imagine)Eligibility B.Tech./B.E. in Civil Engineering. M.Tech./M.E. in Transportation Engineering. Ph.D. in Transportation Engineering or a closely related specialization from a reputed University/Institution. Strong teaching, research, and communication skills. Demonstrated research potential with publications in reputed journals and conferences. Ability to contribute effectively to both teaching and research activities.Desirable Attributes Experience with Outcome-Based Education (OBE) and curriculum development. Research publications in reputed SCI/Scopus-indexed journals. Experience in interdisciplinary projects involving Transportation, GIS, AI, and Smart Infrastructure Systems. Ability to integrate emerging technologies into Civil Engineering education and research.
