Employment Type: Fixed Term ContractLocations : Jharkhand/Odisha Purpose of the Role:The incumbent will play a key role in planning, surveying, and executing water conservation and agricultural development projects under Tata Steel Foundation initiatives. The position involves technical expertise in land surveying, layout preparation, and GPS-based documentation to ensure accurate implementation of structures that promote sustainable agriculture and rural livelihoods. Key Deliverables:
- Execute participatory planning, site selection, and technical surveys for soil & water conservation and agricultural interventions.
- Facilitate community engagement and institution building, including formation of water user groups, village committees, and watershed development committees.
- Implement and monitor soil and water conservation structures such as Field Bunding, TCB, WAT, SCT, DCT, Loose Boulder Structures, Gabions, Hybrid Gabions, Earthen and Masonry Check Dams.
- Preparation measurement books and BOQ for getting bills/invoices from business partners/ Samitis and facilitation on payment process of all type of activities.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation including user agreements, land records,layout plans, measurement books, and GPS-based records for approvals and payments.
- Coordinate with farmers and local communities to ensure accurate implementation and alignment with project objectives.
- Provide technical support and contribute to sustainable agriculture and rural livelihood development initiatives.
