Role Overview We are looking for a highly driven and entrepreneurial Area Sales Manager – Modern Trade to manage and grow across andhra Pradesh. The role requires strong business acumen, relationship management, execution excellence, and an in-depth understanding of the Modern Trade ecosystem within the Food/FMCG industry. The incumbent will be responsible for driving sales growth, ensuring strong in-store execution, managing key account relationships, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives within the assigned territory. Key Responsibilities Manage and drive business across assigned Modern Trade chains including Reliance Retail, DMart, More Retail, Spencer’s, Star Bazaar, Lulu etc.Drive achievement of sales KPIs including primary sales, secondary sales, range selling, visibility, and off-take growthBuild and maintain strong relationships with category managers, buyers, distributors, and store teamsEnsure effective execution of promotions, activations, visibility campaigns, merchandising initiatives, and new product launchesDrive distribution expansion and improve product availability across Modern Trade outlets in the assigned regionMonitor stock availability, replenishment cycles, fill rates, and inventory health across accountsConduct regular market visits to ensure execution excellence and identify business growth opportunitiesAnalyze sales performance, generate business insights, and present account-level reviews to internal stakeholdersCollaborate closely with supply chain, marketing, finance, and distributor teams to ensure seamless executionTrack competitor activities, pricing, promotions, and market trends to strengthen business performanceEnsure adherence to business hygiene processes and operational efficiency across accounts Ideal Candidate 1-5 years of experience in Modern Trade within the Food or FMCG industryCandidates currently working in Modern Trade roles programs within FMCG companies will be preferredStrong understanding of Modern Trade operations and sales executionPrior experience handling Modern Trade chains in Andhra Pradesh will be preferredExcellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesProficiency in MS Excel and sales reportingAbility to thrive in a fast-paced and target-driven environment What We Offer Opportunity to work with one of India’s leading health-food brands, now backed by ITC LimitedHigh ownership and autonomy in a fast-growing business environmentDynamic and collaborative work culture focused on innovation and growthExposure to large-scale Modern Trade operations and business strategyContinuous learning and career growth opportunitiesAnd of course - plenty of healthy and delicious snacks!
