Summary:

We are seeking an experienced MS SQL Database Lead to manage, optimize, and support enterprise SQL Server environments. The candidate will lead database administration activities, ensure high availability and performance of databases, drive database architecture improvements, and mentor a team of DBAs. The role requires strong expertise in SQL Server administration, performance tuning, backup and recovery, security, and database automation.

- Database Administration:

• Administer and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases across development, testing, and production environments.
• Monitor database health, performance, and availability.
• Perform database installations, upgrades, migrations, and patch management.
• Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes.

- Performance Optimization:

• Analyze and optimize database performance.
• Troubleshoot slow-running queries, blocking, deadlocks, and resource bottlenecks.
• Develop indexing strategies and database maintenance plans.
• Conduct capacity planning and performance forecasting.

- High Availability & Disaster Recovery:

• Implement and support SQL Server Always On Availability Groups, Failover Clustering, Log Shipping, and Replication.
• Ensure business continuity through disaster recovery planning and testing.
• Define and maintain RPO/RTO objectives.

- Security & Compliance:

• Manage database security, user access, roles, and permissions.
