Summary: As an Application Engineer, you will be responsible to provide technical and functional support and resolution to Airline Passenger Service Systems (PSS) for some of the top airlines in the world and running on a Azure Cloud Compute Platform. Having great opportunities to work in the Azure cloud PaaS, Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS), Microsoft SQL Server, Azure Key Vault, Dynatrace, Azure Dev Ops, and other systems and tools. Collaborating and working with a great team at fast pace and agile environment, supporting end-to-end delivery lifecycle from implementation to support.
Roles & Responsibilities: Responsible for providing technical and functional support and providing resolution for the technical and functional issues of an Airline Passenger Service Systems (PSS). Responsible for technical understanding, support, and troubleshooting of multiple environments which may require knowledge of Network, Storage, Database, Virtual Machines, Security, Azure, and AKS. Responsible for meeting all Incident, Request service, and Change Activity level metrics. Contribute to continuous process improvement suggestions in Subject Matter and Operational areas.
Professional & Technical Skills: Has relevant exposure and experience in any of the following: o .net/web-based Application Support (Primary) o AKS (Secondary) o Azure Cloud (Secondary) o Splunk (Good to have) o Dynatrace (Good to have) o Database (SQL), SQL Scripting (Good to have) o Message Queuing (MSMQ) (Good to have)
Has relevant exposure in Operational Networking Has relevant exposure in IBM websphere and IIS technology Strong English speaking and writing skills Works well under pressure , possess high-energy and strong self confidence. Team player and collaborative Solid multi-tasking and problem resolution abilities Airline industry exposure is a plus Competency working in a client-server environment Ability to query and research data in a relational database model
