About the internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include

1. Evaluate customer requirements and develop solutions for a turnkey machine vision system for manufacturing applications

1. Evaluate and select lighting and optics to create the imaging front end

1. Work on data collection of the samples provided by the customers

1. Prepare the feasibility report

1. Integrate a turnkey machine vision system with robot and automation equipment and make adjustments, troubleshoot, and debug systems

1. Travel and work in a factory environment to install and support a machine vision system to make sure all machines are qualified and ready for production according to schedule

1. Provide supervision to other team members at machine builder sites and contract manufacturer (CM) production sites

1. Help to prepare standard operating procedures for machine vision setup, train other team members, and provide support during overall machine setup and maintenance

1. Troubleshoot and analyze the issues that happened on site, and provide failure analysis (FA) reports

1. Communicate with both internal and external customers to establish a good working relationship

1. Provide daily status and progress reports and attend update meetings
