APPAREL DESIGNER SPORTSWEAR / ACTIVEWEAR Delhi NCR Full-time On-siteAbout usWe're an established Indian sportswear and activewear brand, making our own product in India since 1988. In-house manufacturing, a strong dealer and institutional business, and a fast-growing retail and online presence. We design it, make it, and ship it and we're building the team to run it sharper.The roleYou design our garments across sportswear, activewear, athleisure and casual. Working from our own fabrics and locked shade cards, you originate clean, wearable, production-ready designs: panels, contrast, prints, trims and placements, colourway by colourway. You build the technical mockups and hand in finished designs ready to be locked and sent to production. A separate merchandiser takes your locked design to the floor your job is to make the design sharp and complete.Our design language (please read before applying)Clean and modern, with subtle contrast and considered geometric detail. Minimal, restrained branding. Never loud, never over-printed, never heavy sublimation. Think quiet, confident, premium-but-wearable athletic wear the kind of clean execution you'd see from a brand like On Running built for the Indian market and our orange-led identity. If your instinct is maximalist prints and big logos, this isn't the brand for you.Before you apply, take two minutes on our range at sportsun.in see the products for yourself and make sure this clean, restrained direction is the kind of design you want to do.What you'll do Originate designs by category and colourway, from our fabrics and shade cards Build complete technical mockups / CADs panels, seams, contrast, print and trim placement Create colour-wise design mockups ready for sampling Build and evolve a library of designs our market responds to, season after season Keep every design clean, wearable, and production-readyWhat we're looking for 1+ years designing apparel but your portfolio matters more than the number Sportswear / activewear / knitwear experience strongly preferred Strong in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop (CorelDRAW a plus) You can produce proper technical mockups, not just mood boards A clean, modern eye and the taste to keep things restrainedYou're a fit if you can take a fabric and a category and originate a design that's clean, wearable, and ready for the floor without heavy direction.You're not a fit if you only execute artworks handed to you, you lean maximalist / heavy-print, or you're looking to do branding and marketing graphics that's handled separately.The processShortlisted designers will do a short design exercise: take one of our fabrics and a category and design a garment in our language, with a technical mockup. We want to see how you originate, and how clean your execution is.To apply
