Role Description The Administrative Assistant Accounts Payable will support the firms finance and administrative operations, with a focus on accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments. This full-time, on-site role is based in Jammu. Day-to-day responsibilities include receiving, verifying, and entering vendor invoices, preparing payment runs, maintaining accounts payable records, and assisting with reconciliation of statements. The role will also include coordinating with vendors and internal stakeholders, maintaining organized files (digital and physical), and supporting general office administration such as documentation, data entry, and basic correspondence. The Administrative Assistant Accounts Payable will work closely with the accounts and administrative teams to ensure compliance with internal policies and contribute to efficient financial workflows. Qualifications
- Strong foundational knowledge of accounts payable processes, invoice verification, payment processing, and basic bookkeeping.
- Proficiency with office productivity tools (such as MS Excel, Word, and email applications) and the ability to learn accounting or ERP software.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with vendors, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated integrity and discretion in handling confidential financial and firm information.
- Prior experience in an accounts, administrative, or finance support role, preferably in a professional services or legal environment, is an advantage.
- Minimum of a high school diploma; plus a diploma in accounting, finance, commerce, or a related field is preferred.
