Job Role: Accountant Location: Kolkata, West Bengal Employment Type: Full-Time (WFO) Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to support accounting, portfolio computation, and operational activities. The ideal candidate should have strong accounting knowledge and good attention to detail. Key Responsibilities Accounting & Compliance Maintain daily accounting in Tally ERP / Tally Prime Handle journal entries, ledgers, AP/AR, vouchers, and reconciliations Manage GST & TDS workings, filings, and compliance Reconcile bank statements, expenses, and investment transactions Assist in MIS reports, month-end financials, and audits Portfolio Computation Prepare and update client portfolio calculations (XIRR, CAGR, withdrawals, performance summaries, etc.) Generate clean and accurate portfolio reports for client reviews Operations & Administration Maintain attendance sheets and salary management records Prepare billing and invoicing for clients and internal records Tools, Technology & Innovation Use Excel / Google Sheets efficiently for financial analysis and reporting Work with GST, TDS, and Income Tax portals Use AI tools (ChatGPT, Excel AI, automation tools) to simplify calculations and improve reporting Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and streamline workflows Continuously improve data organisation, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency Qualifications & Skills Education: B.Com / M.Com or related degree Experience: 1–3 years of accounting experience Skills Strong understanding of Indian accounting principles, GST, and TDS Basic understanding of portfolio calculations and financial reporting Strong attention to detail and accuracy Good organisational and time-management skills Proficiency in Tally, MS Excel, and Google Sheets Ability to work efficiently under deadlines Skills: corporate finance,billing process,taxations,invoicing,ai tools,accounting,tds,reporting,tally,excel,calculations,portfolio management,gst
