As a result of continued growth, we are searching for a 3PL Account Mananger to support our External Fulfillment & Operations team who will look to take on a new journey running a 3PL site that supports rDC in Canada. The role includes interfacing with the Third Party Logistics (3PL) providers and being the main POC for all internal teams such as Transportation, Retail and Supply Chain. The main tasks will be to facilitate coordination between the 3PL operations and internal stakeholders. The main objective is to continuously improve the level of service that the 3PL provides to our customers. In addition, the 3PL Account Manager will be responsible for both launch and improvement projects within the External Fulfillment Special Projects and Expansion team. Amazon is seeking an experienced logistic/supply chain operator to oversee the strategic operations and performance of our critical third-party logistics provider network. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring our 3PL partners consistently meet their contractual obligations and respect our standards of service requirements and for providing relationship management. The position requires up to 40% travel to local 3PL sites and Amazon facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
Service standards and contractual enforcement
Establish and lead a structured, systematic approach to site-level compliance with our service standards, and provide high-quality performance comments and feedback
Serve as a benchmark for peers, setting the standard for performance management excellence
Cost Management:
Demonstrate a deep understanding of 3PL business cases and the ability to detect hidden cost levers
Drive impactful cost-saving opportunities and efficiency-boosting initiatives, including the piloting of new productivity and cost projects
Actively engage with stakeholders to refine business cases and influence cost-improvement activities Continuous Improvement:
Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies to proactively detect potential issues before they impact KPls

Drive operational excellence and structured follow-up with peers and linked businesses, setting higher benchmarks for the network
Demonstrate the ability to influence and align with internal and external stakeholders on improvement plans
Change Management:
Effectively implement top-down changes from Amazon leadership as well as bottom-up initiatives to align 3PL operations with Amazon standards
Exhibit the capability to develop positive and effective initiatives, acting as a primary proposer and setting higher benchmarks for the rest of the network
Communication:
Establish continuous and successful bi-directional exchange of support with internal senior network management, acting as a development motor
Demonstrate the ability to effectively coordinate and align the 3PL site with the broader Amazon fulfillment network and supporting functions
Proactively identify and escalate critical issues, utilizing effective communication and partnering with senior stakeholders to drive timely resolution
Autonomously author comprehensive escalation reports and successfully participate in senior leadership calls
Vendor Relationship Management:
Build strong, profitable, and sustainable relationships with 3PL provider leadership

Basic qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or above in engineering, project management, operations, logistics, supply chain or related field
Experience leading large teams/operations, including a salaried/hourly workforce, in a rapidly changing customer service, manufacturing, production or distribution environment
Experience working with, presenting to and influencing senior executives up to VP level
Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 8+ years of manager in a fulfillment center/distribution center environment of hourly and salaried employees experience
Preferred qualifications
Experience in data analysis and extracting insights to make data-backed business decisions
Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients
5+ years of operational experience
Experience prioritizing and handling multiple assignments at any given time while maintaining commitment to deadlines
Knowledge of Six Sigma tools, Lean techniques, PMP or similar standards preferred
Master's degree in engineering, mechanical, operations, supply chain, business administration, or equivalent STEM field
