We are seeking a technically strong Senior DevOps Engineer to lead the automation, reliability, and consistency of our software release processes across Digital teams. This role is focused on building and evolving the engineering capabilities that enable high‑quality, low‑friction releases — including CI/CD pipelines, automated validation steps, safe deployment patterns, and reliable rollback strategies. You will collaborate with full‑stack, data, and cloud engineering teams to ensure our release processes are secure, scalable, and aligned with modern DevOps and platform‑engineering practices. Release Automation & CI/CD Ownership:
Design, build, and optimize automated CI/CD workflows (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) to support consistent and reliable deployments across environments.
Implement automated release validation steps including build verification, test gates, security scans, dependency checks, and artifact promotion.
Define and standardize deployment and release procedures through automation rather than manual checklists.
Enable transparent release visibility by building dashboards and automated reporting (e.g., via GitHub, Azure DevOps, dashboards, or observability tools).
Provide engineering teams with real‑time insight into deployment status, release contents, and post‑deployment health.
Ensure release information is accessible and self‑service rather than dependent on manual communication.
Cross-Team Collaboration & Standards
Partner with QA, Cloud Engineering, and Platform Engineering to align standards for automated testing, environment readiness, and quality gates.
Work with product engineering teams to ensure release patterns are adopted consistently across stacks.
Contribute technical guidance to evolve release standards, tooling, and best practices across Digital. Platform, Observability & Operational Reliability
Improve observability and deployment health monitoring using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, and/or Datadog.
Contribute to operational excellence by improving reliability, availability, and MTTR (mean time to recovery) of release-related workflows.
Subject-Matter Expertise & Mentorship
Act as the technical SME for release automation across Digital teams.
Mentor engineers on modern DevOps, CI/CD, GitOps, and release engineering practices.

5+ years of experience in DevOps, Release Engineering, SRE, Platform, or Cloud roles
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (compute, networking, storage, identity)
Experience supporting containerized workloads and Kubernetes platforms (e.g., AKS)
Strong understanding of containerization (Docker, Helm)
Experience with scripting or automation using Bash, PowerShell, Python, or similar
Solid understanding of networking concepts (DNS, load balancing, firewalls, VPNs)
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and collaboration skills
Azure certifications: AZ‑104, AZ‑400, or AZ‑305 preferred
Experience with GitOps tools or models (ArgoCD, Flux, etc.) preferred
Experience with policy/guardrail‑based approaches (Azure Policy, OPA/Gatekeeper) preferred
Experience contributing to or maintaining shared engineering standards or platform capabilities preferred

New Hire Base Salary Range:
$118,600.00 - $148,200.00
Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.
The compensation offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors
