The Electrical Engineer (Electrical Designer if incumbent does not possess P. Eng license) is responsible for designing electrical hardware based on input requirements and system integration activities. In this role you will work with industry leading research and development team solving complex mixed signal and high-speed digital design challenges.
This position reports to the Manager, FPGA and Mixed Signal Hardware Development and is part of the Electrical Hardware Development team located in Concord, Ontario and will be an on-site role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Lead the end-to-end design process, including creating specifications, conducting qualification testing, and presenting compliance at technical review.
- Partner cross-functionally with research, scientific teams, and manufacturing to develop and validate innovative design concepts for current and future products.
- Develop system-driven design architectures aligned to product requirements.
- Support subsystem design and integration while balancing performance, cost, schedule, and reliability objectives.
- Own product documentation and provide post-release technical support to improve manufacturing yield, reliability, and cost efficiency.
