Role: Finance & Accounts Owner (Profitability & Cash Flow)Location: ThaneType: Founding Team | High Ownership🚀 What this role really isThis is not an “accounts executive” role.You will own the financial backbone of the business—from cash flow to profitability, compliance to control systems.You are responsible for ensuring that every rupee is tracked, optimized, and contributes to growth, while building strong reporting and financial systems from scratch.🎯 What you will ownFinance & Business Control:Track and improve unit economics (per order profitability)Build visibility on margins, costs, and leakagesWork closely with founders on financial decision-makingMIS, Reporting & Dashboards:Build and maintain MIS reports, P&L, and Balance SheetCreate real-time dashboards for revenue, cost, marginsBuild reporting systems from scratch (Excel / Google Sheets / tools)Use formula-based models, pivot tables, and structured data systemsCash Flow & Working Capital:Manage daily cash flow and burnPlan and optimize working capital cyclesEnsure smooth vendor payouts and receivables trackingAccounts, Compliance & Systems:Handle GST, TDS, filings, and statutory complianceManage books of accounts, reconciliations, auditsWork on Tally / Zoho Books (or both)Ensure clean, accurate, and timely financial recordsReconciliations (Critical Area):Handle marketplace payment reconciliations (Amazon, Myntra, etc.)Manage logistics and courier reconciliationsIdentify and plug financial leakages in payouts, returns, claimsCost Control & Leakages:Identify and reduce unnecessary expensesTrack returns, logistics, production costs from finance lensImprove overall cost efficiency across functionsTeam & Vendor Management:Manage and scale the accounts teamManage factory, logistics, and service vendor paymentsNegotiate better payment terms and cycles📊 What success looks likeAccurate P&L and financial visibility at all timesImproved net marginsStrong cash flow visibility and controlReduced cost leakagesClean, reliable financial systems and dashboardsBetter working capital efficiency🧠 What we’re looking forExperience in accounts / finance in ecommerce / D2C / startup environmentStrong understanding of GST, TDS, compliance, and financial systemsStrong skills in Excel / Google Sheets / dashboards / data handlingAbility to build reporting systems and MIS from scratchComfortable with Tally / Zoho BooksAbility to think beyond accounting into business financeHigh ownership and attention to detailComfortable working in a fast-paced, unstructured setup❌ This role is NOT for you if:You only want to do bookkeeping or complianceYou avoid taking ownership of business outcomesYou need structured environments and fixed processesYou’ve only worked in large, slow-moving organizations💰 CompensationFixed: ₹5–8LESOP: 0.5% – 1%⚡ How we workNo micromanagementHigh ownership, high accountabilityDirect involvement in business decisionsFast-paced, problem-solving culture🧪 Hiring processApplication screeningPaid trial: solve a real finance/cash flow + reconciliation problemFinal discussion with foundersIf you’re someone who wants to own numbers, build systems, and drive profitability end-to-end, this role is for you.
